wpHistory

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on hundreds of thousands of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day.

What does it do?

WordPress is completely customizable and can be used for almost anything. There is also a service called WordPress.com which lets you get started with a new and free WordPress-based blog in seconds, but varies in several ways and is less flexible than the WordPress that can be hosted on your own server.

Wordpress allows users to maintain their website simply by logging into their admin panel using their browser. You needn’t download any programs. With Wordpress you can edit content on your pages with little to no HTML knowledge which means you’ll save on hiring someone to do your updating for you.

Learning to use Wordpress is also very easy. Squidlimbs will provide you with all the documentation and tutorials needed for you to become a Wordpress wiz in a jiffy. Not only that, but we’ll give you access to a demo Wordpress installation so you can test it out for yourself before committing.
